MUFC Technical Director  – Frank Ciaccia

FrankCiacciaFrank has a lengthy and distinguished profile both as a coach and player. Growing up in Vancouver, Frank played for the strong Grandview Legion FC through youth soccer and went on to excel as a prominent member of the Simon Fraser University Clansmen. Frank also played for the Canadian U23 Team prior to selection to the Canadian World Cup Team in 1981 where he participated in the CONCACAF Final Qualifying Round with Canada narrowly missing qualification to the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain. Frank went on to play professionally with the Toronto Blizzard of the North American Soccer League and later, Toronto Italia of the National Soccer League. He has also represented Canada as an indoor “Futsal” player at international tournaments in Argentina and Australia.

Frank holds a CSA National “B” Certificate and has coached at many levels over the past twenty years. This includes assignments with the Vancouver Whitecaps in the USL Super-Y League, the Burnaby Selects and Cliff Avenue United. At the senior level, Frank has served as player/coach with Columbus FC and continues today as a player with the Club. Frank also holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University.
