Mountain United FC 2016 – U13 Intake Teams (2004-born) Evaluations

Mountain United FC is pleased to announce a series of evaluations for selection to our 2016 – U13 Intake Teams. Current MUFC coaches will be assisting with this process and head coaches for the two new teams will be announced soon. Players born in the year 2004 are eligible for selection. *Please note, players born in the year 2005 may also be considered for evaluation but only if identified and endorsed by MUFC’s Technical Director through scouting and recommendation in advance. The teams will be selected by the end of February 2016. They will participate in an exhibition season from April to June which includes training twice per week, several friendlies and two tournaments before taking a summer break. These teams will then play in the EA Sports BCSPL Phase Two from September to November 2016. Following a re-evaluation process in November and winter break, the teams will move on to the full U13 EA Sports BCSPL season in February 2017.

The EA Sports BCSPL is the high performance league with eight regional Clubs. It represents the highest level of youth soccer in the Province. Players aspiring to play in this league require commitment and dedication to the program. At Mountain United FC, professional coaches are in place to enable players to reach their full potential in a player-centric development model. The U13 Intake Teams will train twice per week during the Spring exhibition schedule but will progress to three times per week in September. If you are a motivated player ready to commit yourself to this level, please register for our evaluations.

The first two evaluations are Open Identification camps and will be held the weekend of February 5/6, 2016. Details are noted below. Upon registration, players will be placed into one of these camps and notified via e-mail. We will balance the camps by volume and position in order to maximize assessment opportunities. Only selected players will return for the Invitational Camps. A Final Invitational camp is scheduled for February 20, 2016 which will conclude the evaluation process. The teams will be announced thereafter. For more information on the BCSPL Intake Teams process, please refer to this FAQ prepared by BC Soccer: BCSPL Entry Level Player Evaluation FAQ
