Kate has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and a Bachelor of Education degree. She has completed a certification in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy from University of Toronto and has taken numerous courses dealing with mental health over the past 31 years. She is ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills) trained and a safeTALK (Suicide Awareness) instructor as well.
