Description
Leave it to Me | North Vancouver Recreation and Culture Commission
The sculpture Leave it to Me is informed by the species Acer Macrophyllum Pursh, commonly known as the Big Leaf Maple - the largest and fastest growing Maple in western Canada. Located near the shores of Hastings Creek, a riparian zone that is the natural habitat of the Big Leaf Maple, the work boldly endorses the importance of protecting our natural urban landscape. The scale of the work and the reflective finish creates a poetic statement about the preciousness of both our urban and natural habitats.
