Joseph Pilates (pill-ah-tees) called his method of exercising – contrology. It was designed by him in the 1920’s and it takes approximately 50 minutes to go through the exercise routine. He experimented with several different approaches including yoga, gymnastics, self-defense, dance, weight training and boxing.
