Wamakersvlei Beach Farm

The Sandveld is a sandy region and the salt pans at Wamakersvlei was the first suitable area where the ox wagons could be repaired and a pit stop for the oxen to rest. Due to the favourable location of Wamakersvlei, a whole community was established on the farm. Among them were fisherman, shepherds and a blacksmith.
