About MUFC

Welcome to Mountain United Football Club

Burnaby and North Shore soccer is pleased to introduce Mountain United Football Club.   MUFC is the result of a union between our two soccer regions and will be a charter member of the newly minted BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL). The club has its roots in our member organizations including boys and girls clubs from the Burnaby District Youth Soccer Association, the North Shore Youth Soccer Association, and the North District Girls Soccer Association. Apart from being long standing members of BCSA (Burnaby and North Shore are among the founding members), over the years these groups have created, partnered, and participated in many BCSA affiliated soccer leagues and programs. Many of our club partners or members have in excess of 50 years service fostering soccer development and making our sport accessible to an ever increasing number of players in our various communities.

With the introduction of the Premier League, MUFC will strive to be much more than a union of regional soccer programs. We will build on the strengths and accomplishments of our members and become the focal point for elite soccer in our region.  We will incorporate the best features of our member clubs and begin building a proud tradition of our own.  The cooperation and commitment demonstrated in the few short months since inception bodes well for our success and has become the foundation upon which we will continue to move forward.  Before too long, it’ll seem as if we’ve always been here.

Our immediate focus is transitioning into the BC Premier Soccer League. We have already assembled a quality technical staff, led by our Technical Director Frank Ciaccia, and, over the next few months, will be concentrating on attracting and selecting players for our 10 BCSPL teams, after which the real work of developing their talents begins. Here is where they will step above the rest.

Our mission is simple:

Create an effective club structure that is inclusive of all its members and creates, ultimately, the necessary environment for lasting success at all levels and ages. MUFC also intends on playing a bit of football, winning a few games, and having a lot of fun while we go about the process!

This is an exciting time in our soccer community and we are incredibly fortunate to be a key player in the massive changes occurring locally in our sport. We welcome all soccer enthusiasts – please join us and watch the Mountain United!
